Ramon C. Palacio, a Partner with the Firm, holds an AV Preeminent® rating (the highest possible rating in both legal ability and ethical standards) from Martindale-Hubbell. He was selected by Super Lawyers for its Rising Star lists for 2015 and 2016, a distinction shared by less than 2.5% of the attorneys in Florida. Additionally, he was selected in Rue Ratings Best Attorneys in America list, a distinction limited to less than 5% of the attorneys in each state.

Mr. Palacio’s practice is focused on condominium and homeowners association law, landlord-tenant matters, collections, and foreclosures. Mr. Palacio oversees the litigation team and regularly advises community and condominium associations in the interpretation of their governing documents and in the enforcement of their protective covenants. Mr. Palacio is experienced in advising CEOs and managers on compliance matters relating to federal, state, and local employment laws, and defensive strategies for avoiding employment-related liability. He is experienced in providing workplace training in best practices for management of human capital, as well as the prevention and investigation of harassment and discrimination claims.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Palacio worked with a leading South Florida condominium developer overseeing condominium developments in four counties and handled hundreds of residential sales transactions from contract to closing. Ramon Palacio has served on condominium association boards and has chaired homeowner association architectural review committees for many years.

Additionally, Mr. Palacio has an extensive background in law enforcement, having received dozens of commendations and recognitions, and is versed in crisis management planning for organizations. Mr. Palacio also holds the rank of Lt.Col. with the United States Air Force Auxiliary, Civil Air Patrol, where he serves as Legal Officer and is a graduate of the National Staff College.

Mr. Palacio received his Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, with honors including Law Review (Articles Editor) and Pro Bono Honors. He earned a Masters in Management degree with a Concentration in Human Resources from American Public University. He earned the designation of Senior Professional in Human Resource Management from the Human Resources Certification Institute, and is a member of The Florida Bar, the Cuban American Bar Association, and the Society for Human Resource Management. Additionally, Mr. Palacio is a licensed real estate salesperson and an experienced educator, having served on the faculty of the University of Phoenix where he has taught business and employment law. He also facilitates continuing education courses for Community Association Managers. Mr. Palacio has written articles on condominium and homeowners association law and management, and has been quoted in various industry publications.
